Teenage Love – What the Whole Thing is About? By Daniel Stacey

Have you ever wondered how it feels being in love? Or are you one of those who think it’s just uncool. Well there are different types of people; some teenagers think it’s cool to be in a relationship while others think it’s uncool. Stories like ‘Romeo and Juliet’ have had a great impact on teenagers’ of today, actually, to the extent that some of them consider themselves as far more romantic than poor Romeo and Juliet!

Some people are just having fun in relationships. They hang out, show the world what they mean to each other and one fine day decide that they are bored of each other. So they forget each other and live their lives and find some other time-pass. Well, believe it or not, this kind of relationships is fast becoming popular; this is what you guys call “one night stand”?

However, there are others who are very serious and tend to do anything for their relationships to move forward. These people face hardships; like real relationship problems. Only they can understand what ‘love’ is. This four-letter word has a much deeper meaning than you think. It is a bond between two people who trust and care for each other. Obviously, if you decide to be with someone, you should mentally be prepared for all the tantrums and melodrama of the other person; after all, the grass is not ‘usually’ green on the other side!

Just because your partner did not get you something on Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean he/she doesn’t love you. Maybe he/she had their reasons. Well, the problem, mainly for poor boys, is that girls nowadays are very materialistic. They judge their partners by the number of presents they give to them. “Oh! He only gave me chocolates! What a loser”, “He didn’t buy me a Gucci Bag; probably he’s not rich anymore!”

God! These girls need to grow up. This isn’t love; this is just “gift hunger”. Love is something that these teens would not understand. Try this out guys; go to your partner and tell her that you have left your house and will do something on your own soon. If your girl loves you, she’ll say, “I am with you in your ups and downs”. But, what do you think you will be doing if you hear something “oh, I’m really not sure, maybe we should just be friends but I’ll help you out!” Difficult, isn’t it?

Teenagers must understand that this is no age for them to indulge in relationships. Why should one ruin their fun at this age? But, yes, if this is fun for you, then make sure you have listened to few special songs by Enrique Iglesias, like “I am making love for fun”. And, Backstreet Boys, of course. But, guys, don’t go for Britney, or you will be left confused and baffled, just like the singer! So, always know what you are doing and what teenage love means to you. If this is true love, run away! After all, you don’t want to feel the pain so early in the life, do you?
